Hello guys, I’m quitting youtube due to many reasons that revolve around it’s notoriously incompetent staff. I’ll be moving my content to Newgrounds!

Let’s start with the elephant that pushed me out of Youtube, they are willing to keep a fucking criminal on their platform.

If you’ve been living under a rock, a YouTuber known as Jacksfilms exposed SSSniperwolf for being a content thief with lots of evidence to back it up. SSSniperwolf responded by showing up outside his house and posting a video of it to her 5M followers. In other words, SSSniperwolf Doxxed Jacksfilms.

This is a complete violation of Jacksfilms’ safety and it meant that he no longer felt safe in his own home. Under Youtube’s ToS, this would mean that SSSniperwolf would be banned from Youtube, but her channel is still on Youtube and it’s very clear at this point that Youtube is refusing to ban her at this point.

Just because she has a massive footprint on the platform and possibly makes Youtube a lot of money, Youtube is willing to let SSSniperwolf, who leaked the location of Jacksfilms, on their own platform. This isn’t the only reason why I left YouTube, but it’s the reason that pushed me to get out of here before a narcissistic psychopath who has millions of subscribers and is practically Youtube’s Discord Kitten, manages to leak my location without punishment.

Another issue affecting everyone on YouTube right now (Unless you have Premium or a good Adblocker) is Ads. Too many shitty ads. Every time you click on a video, you’d get two ads before watching it, and a lot of the time, both two ads are unskippable. This meant that you had to wait a whole MINUTE before watching each video you clicked on basically. This angered a lot of people and led to adblockers being used to automatically skip through the ads onto the video.

This meant that YouTube couldn’t get any money from the ads, so instead of listening to us and changing the ads to be less intrusive/annoying so we don’t use adblockers, they tried to block adblockers from their platform. However, this attempt at blocking adblockers was futile, as the adblockers themselves found ways to let us watch what we want on YouTube without the ads or even the “Adblockers are not allowed” popup.

But this still left a bad mark on Youtube, they don’t want to make their platform better or provide good moderation, they just want to completely fuck us over for the bag. I should also mention that the ads themselves are shit as well. They’re long, loud, and obnoxious as fuck, which is bound to anger a lot of people into using an adblocker. To conclude this, let’s be real, even if YouTube fixes the ads, more needs to be done until I decide to turn off my adblocker.

And here’s another issue, A Youtuber known as TheMisterEpic uploaded a video that speaks out about the horror that is Today’s Monster School content. What started out as a simple animation trend dissolved into content that’s not family-friendly at all, so if you’re old enough and want to take a closer look, go see the video. But in a nutshell, Today’s monster school is targeted towards kids, but contains content that’s inappropriate for them. This is completely unacceptable, but what does YouTube do? They let these videos remain on their platform and even allows monetization on them. But when TheMisterEpic makes a video speaking out about Monster School, that video is demonetized and they’re still doing jackshit about the Monster School videos. This is pretty much a giant “Fuck you” from Youtube. They’re willing to keep inappropriate content that’s targeted towards kids on the platform, monetized.

Along with that, there are also other issues such as YouTube terminating, striking, and demonetising channels for seemingly no reason and they refuse to communicate with the creators affected on what they can do to stop this from happening.

So to summarise, Youtube is willing to let a content thief who doxxed Jacksfilms remain on their platform, shove as many ads down your throat as possible even if it ruins their experience and they do some other shit that ends up fucking us all over. Also, Google was never really a good company in the first place.
